In first grade during Alicia’s all about me week the teacher asked her, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” She confidently smiled and said, “I want to be a pirate!”. Her teacher wrote it down on poster paper in permanent marker.

Fast forward a few decades later, Alicia had 5 years of pirating mermaid tears along the west coast of the United States. Without a boat you’re really limited and not much of a pirate, but flying was totally viable! Her travels went internationally and friends began to call her The Flying Mermaid!
